Previously you've seen featured "Band of the Moment" spotlights posted on the front page of our website. But we decided that it would be a little simpler and more feasible to just do a blog post each Monday to feature a new "Band of the Moment."
As we prepare to start this new way of doing things, we're going to just go ahead and post this month's band a couple days early! So buckle up and hold on tight because this one's gonna be a wild ride!
This week's featured band is Rough Dreams. They're a self-proclaimed "Spaced out emo punk band from Knoxville, TN" that features former members of some familiar bands to the Knoxville punk and hardcore scene! On vocals, you've got the championship tag team duo of Chris Suggs (MORTARS) and Jake Jones (Your Favorite Hero) along with Matt Isbell (Fingers Crossed) on Bass Guitar while Drummer Paul Lowe (Bad Idols) keeps the beat!
Rough Dreams was formed in 2018 and they have released 4 EPs, 1 album and a couple of singles in that time frame. Their most recent effort, "The Escaped EP" was released on September 8, 2023 via 59 X Records. The EP features production from Jim Wirt and the mixing and mastering duties were handled by Peter Catalano. Catalano also contributed to some additional production and vocals on the first track of the EP, "Dying Inside."
